Stock is clearly down, and the company is headed by a supply chain guy. New products are incremental — look ma, new colors! new sizes!. Further, being married to an ex-apple employee, I was surprised by the constant anti-intellectual, anti-research culture of the company, and now it seems to have caught up. While Apple is still immensely profitable, they've yet to come out with a blockbuster product lately. Further, knowing Steve Jobs from a distance, I can see him being just the kind of egomaniac who will feel happy if Apple died after him, showing the world how important Steve Jobs was to the world. Did he design the organizational structure for 'planned demise'?
